Overview

The IMR (Model Rocketry Association) is a registered and recognized nationwide rocketry head organization for European German-speaking countries and areas such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland/Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and others. The IMR was launched in February 2003. The IMR covers both model rocketry as well as high-power rocketry. The IMR membership is available to single members, local clubs and rocketry-related companies.

The IMR is the first Pan-European organisation for rocketeers in several countries. The club offers a variety of services and advantages to its members, e.g.

• Closed member web discussion board

• Organization of launch days, fairs and membership meetings

• Help and support for members

• Internal web resource site

• Dealer discounts (up to 16%)

• Newsletter (published 4 times a year)

• Flight insurance (worldwide coverage)

• Representing the hobby in the public (e.g. press, fairs, government authorities)

• German T2-certification (to fly engines with more than 20 g´s of propellant)

• International-recognized high power level certification program

• Membership in a large cross-national rocketry group

The IMR is organizing national and international rocketry events. You may participate at such an event - pls. look frequently to this page to find English informations regarding our events. The IMR helps to develop the hobby by representing it in the public, e.g. fairs, and deals with the press and government authorities.

Highpower Certificiation

The IMR offers a high power level certification system in German language meeting international standards. The system is compatible to other international HPR certification systems and cross-recognized by other organizations so members of UKRA (United Kingdom), ACME (Italy), NAR (USA) and CAR (Canada) may fly HPR rockets at IMR launches and vice-versa.
